Och. This is what happens when I post a photo and then tread sleepily off to bed. This is actually a shot of the garden behind the Hotel Cavendish in London, where Lloyd and I stayed overnight upon our arrival in the UK and the day before our return to New York. I posted it as a mood elevator because ever since our return to New York, I’ve required a lot of mood elevating.
But you’re right, I did have a wonderful weekend. The Dali exhibit was a stone-cold blast. I was going to post a link to a jpg of “Soft Construction with Boiled Beans” but I was afraid I might trigger, er, strong reactions. I did indeed see the lobster phones, as well as a holographic image of Alice Cooper and a sketch of Harpo Marx. (It made perfect sense to me that Sal was a friend of both Harpo and Alice.)
come see me! we can visit the museum in st pete. and even if you’ve seen them all before, i have a way to make them new again*.
whatta party, us, sal, harpo and alice…
And me, and me! The museum in St Pete, BTW, is moving, I believe. To a better building in St Pete, ostensibly. The U (where I work as long as they’ll let me) is supposed to get the current Dali museum building--but I don’t know when that will happen. Which just means you need to come down sooner, before it all goes in restauro

Isn’t it a bit early in the year for ripe apples to be dropping on your head?
(Looks like you had a wonderful weekend. I was expecting something a bit more surreal, though.)
