Now would be the point where I would round up everyone’s totals, including mine, and brag on how much money we raised for worthy causes, but if the conversations I’ve had with my pals are any indication, this year’s Blogathon was much, much harder than last year’s, and we all need to go to bed, already.
So I will save a proper roundup for another time. For now, I will say that a) over 285 bloggers raised over $97,000; b) pledges will be accepted for another 48 hours; c) everyone involved did a brilliant job; and d) compared to where I was at this moment 24 hours ago, I am very, very happy.
How could I forget? Thanks to everyone who pledged, donated, kept company, encouraged, cossetted, flirted, covered me when I needed coverage (good morning, Keith!) or provided a place for me to blog when I thought all was lost. Thank you, each and every one.
And thanks to Lloyd for being such a good sport when I announced I had to disappear for the night. Honey, I’ll be right there.

Well done bakerina!!!
yay! You did it and I’m so proud of you!
Congratulations!!! (Sorry I missed the whole marathon, but I was sleeping.)
Congratulations and sweet dreams!
It was such a joy to have you here—thanks for giving us the vicarious blogathon thrill (hosting a blogathoner is sort of like being an auntie—you get to sleep through the rough bits). I do feel the need to explain to your readership that normally we don’t go through life with nine pints of frozen dessert available at all times—although they are all certainly invited to come over and help us eat it up. It was just the overflowing confluence of using some Ben & Jerry’s coupons and then having made both ice cream and peach sorbet last week…
Congratulations. Well done. And most important, g’night!
Yay Bakerina! Well done.. zzzzzz
Tolja you had nothing to worry about!
Congratulations. It was a pleasure watching you blog.
Congrats on a job well done!
Yay, you made it! I slept through the last several hours on your behalf, of course, since I knew you couldn’t be, but am so glad it all hung together! Great job on everyones’ part.
Hooray! You’re done! Sleep well, sweet Jen, and congratulations.
Nicely done! If I’m not mistaken, you only nodded off once, and I’m sure we can blame that entirely on my poor DJ skills.
Way to go, Bakerina!!!!!
I think it is somewhat apropos that I missed the entire blogathon because my internet connection is down. Heh.
Yay! Congratulations! Sorry I couldn’t be here to cheer you on, but having the opportunity to read your efforts all in one go was pretty cool, too. Talk about overcoming adversity!
I’m totally impressed what you did with the situation and conditions you had.
((Wee bit embarrassed that I wasn’t able to sponsor you but the shiny new $510 in exhaust system on my car was a bit of an unplanned surprise this month and it hurt a little since it’s roughly half of my SSDI check and sucked it away within days of the monthly check arriving. Bills schmills! I’ll look onward and upward to next year and I’ll be delightedly anticipating sponsoring you.))
Way to go, sistah!!
What an achievement - you are such an inspiration! My hat is off to you for not only persisting against every odd in the book, but for being so highly entertaining throughout it all. Well done, my dear!
you’ve made my morning once again, i have a whole document full of valuable info cribbed in the darkest hours of the night which will surely reveal volumes of subtext that i haven’t been caught up on in so long. this should get me though the day just fine
how can i ever repay you? i’m sorry that i was not able to make following along as much part of my program as i had wished for…
It would be so unoriginal of me to offer you congratulations. So many people here have already expressed such sentiments. So I shall offer a different sentiment. I am immensely proud of you, Bakerina. You’re a good soul who is doing something meaningful.
