How many times in the life of one blog can I say "it's not blogbandonment, I'm just not feeling well?" Let's try it one more time.
Dear friends, it's not blogbandonment. I'm just not feeling my normal spry and writerly self. This will pass, it always does.
hope youre back to normal soon.
Pshaw, I say. Pshaw.
You know what would go good with that whine? Apples.
I’ll get you started.
“Once upon a time a woman in a distant city sliced five pounds of apples into paper-thin slices, nestled them into a dish, brushed them with melted butter and scattered sugar over them...”
Musing is hungry (and thankless) work, pass me a plate.
’while the beaters and bowl chilled in the freezer, she scraped the seeds from the vanilla bean with a well trimmed fingernail’.
deja vu, it’s like i’ve taken this picture before…
thank you.
Sometimes time away is a good thing, though, right? That way, all those things that you’ve been meaning to blog about come back to you, and then hey presto! you have ideas bubbling over.
Of course it will pass. Sometimes you just have to blather in a stream-of-consciousness way to get the words flowing onto paper again. Or maybe that’s just me. I dunno. Anyhow, I’ll be right here waiting when you’re ready to write to us again.
It gives up time to read all those entries we missed - or to revisit those entries we loved.
how do you get all bubbled-over ideas off the oven racks?
Plus, you’ve obviously been busy hatching some capitalist scheme ...

How many times? As many as it takes. As often as you need. I’ll be happy to see you back - spry and writerly or not - whenever you want to show up.
Love those white blooms in a sea of variegated greens. Greens...mmmm… greens and onion and a bit of bacon… time for dinner!
