There will be words to accompany these pictures, dear friends, just as soon as I get my blogging sea legs back. I wonder if maybe eating a bialy will help me get my strength back.
In the meantime, I’ve made a whole photodocumentary of the process. Look upon my works, ye mighty, and, uh, just try to stay awake.

I love Bialys! I haven’t had a decent one since I moved from the East to the West Coast. Thank you for the nostalgia!

My emotions on viewing this post range from shame to jealousy and then settle on your basic bialy-lust-craving. I too love bialys far, far more than bagels. And here I am, filled with shame, supposedly a nice Jewish girl (well, anyway, I’m Jewish and a girl, that’s two out of three) and have I ever baked my own bialys? I don’t think we need explore that question any further. Jealousy, well, because now you have all those bialys and I don’t. And the bialy-lust-craving is, I would hope, self-explanatory.
